Fifty-first Saturday

Thin bright morning mist.

Out at end of piling field,

Red-and-white buoy shines.

Against mottled clouds

Three geese fly high, upriver.

Two ducks swoop below.

Last night’s melted snow:

Puddles reflect silver sky,

Walkway’s water-dark.
