Fourteenth Saturday

Bright sunshine, thin mist.

Birds chirp, trill, cackle, whirr, sing

From trees’ bare branches.

Joggers crowd pathway.

Orange, purple, yellow, green —

Sweatshirts bloom in sun.

White helicopter

Roaring north across blank sky.

Geese float, undisturbed.
