Many of you know that my 2015 was in many ways pretty crappy. Except for a few bright and shining spots — trips to Italy, Mongolia, Indiana, and Mississippi; my genius students — a whole bunch of things piled on to add up to a lousy year. 2016, which starts in a few hours, will be better, I have determined: will even be affirmatively good. So I say, bring it on.
2015, not sorry to see ya go.
2016, pleased to meet ya!
Hope 2016 treats you well, SJ — it’ll a privilege to experience it with you here.
You are making me want to sing you the lyrics of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from Carousel!
Remember, you are brilliant and you are well loved by many of us. 2016, here we come!
I’m with ya. All the best in ’16.
Sorry for your crappy 2015! May the high points of 2016 merge together crowding out all the bad stuff. Thank you for your blog, your books, and for just being there reaching out to your many fans. Out here in California, I’ve developed an affection for New York in the abstract just because you love it so much. All good things for 2016 and strength for the not-so-good.
SJ, remember we love you. Bring on 2016 and the best for you with it.
Happy New Year!!!!
The best to you in 2016. See you in NOLA.
The best is yet to come!! And as it will be the year of the monkey it is certain to be filled with many a surprise and lots of monkey business! I’m hopeful that doesn’t influence the election too much!! Happy new year to you!!
Thinking of you with much affection, SJ, and wishing you a happy, healthy and successful 2016! xoxo Tom
